May 1 (International Workers' Day), 2010, The People’s Liberation Big Band of Greater Kansas City perfoms original music to Sergei Eisenstein’s classic 1925 silent film “The Battleship Potemkin.”

Named as one of the best music events of 2009 by the Kansas City Star, The People’s Liberation Big Band’s "Battleship Potemkin" aims to more equitably distribute free improvisation and experimental jazz among the workers of our great land.

Tickets at the door are $15 ($10 students)

A Worker's Day Reception follows the screening. Paul Mesner Puppet Studio does not sell drinks, but feel free to bring a beverage of your choice to enjoy during the film.
